All I will say is - I couldn't agree more.

Thank you for taking a break from your usual topics and taking on the political disaster that occurred our election on Tues. night. You spoke very succinctly and directly about what everyone knew before, the election and the dire dangerous situation we are all in with Trump in office again. When I read the few comments you received, with the exception of a couple, I was as disheartened and disappointed as I have been in our fellow Americans since the election. I appreciate what you wrote and I agree with you.

Well said and tragic. Won’t matter all that much to us personally, but will burden our children and grand children horrifically in the coming years.

That's the beauty of the United States. We get to choose and choose again. For all the vilification of one vs. the other, We have chosen. The emphasis needs to be on "We" and the hope needs to be that the upcoming Our Administration succeeds. We the People need to pray and hope for the best for those in power. It is in Our best interest to do so.

Generally agree Mike. I am not convinced, however, that one of our major parties is not currenty in the sway of a Cult of Personality that is not interested in such quaint and antiquated notions.

But I am not just saying I hope and pray you are right and I am wrong to be polite.

Agreed.

Truth and time always have a way of exposing themselves; one is just more methodical.

Have a great evening Tory.

I also hope you’re right. Our choice will depend on how much power the next president takes from our 3 legged stool (judicial, executive, legislative), with his immunity from any wrongdoing.

They're not person dependent powers that have been granted; the power is granted via the Constitution. The balance of power is the inherent struggle between the branches. Hence, the notion of checks and balances.

If not for the recent ruling by SCOTUS then acts, any acts, could be prosecuted even though they were at the time, deemed to be in the best interest of the United States.

The system has worked for almost 2.5 centuries and I suspect it will work for another 2.5 centuries or more.
